"THE UNFINISHED DREAM"
As he rubbed his eyes to clear the dust of his unfinished dreams, he woke up to harsh reality with all its attendant uncertainities. He tried and convinced himself that he has to abide by the norms. That hardwork, sincerity and honesty will bring him success and laurels. That people he counts on will stand by his side no matter what the circumstances be. He toiled his way up all through the day, put in all his might to fulfill his dreams.
But...
He realized something was not just right. Things were not going as they were supposed to be. He recalled the para's of his favorite inspirational books and kept convincing himself. He did all he could to make his life legendary but things were not working out quite well. Because life had grown smarter, it was testing his faith. That night he couldn't sleep. The fear of mediocrity kept haunting him.
Another night he dreamt of a wailing father besides a son. The son laid there staring in darkness..lifeless!. He tried to console the father but as soon as he approached, he was stunned to see his own elder self as the father and present self as the son. He woke up with silent screams to that nightmare. He couldn't decipher what that meant. He woke up to his routine and got ready for work,
In the afternoon, while in deep prayers, he asked God, "What is it that u want me to do to make things work for me?", he waited for a reply, it had to come, it always does he had been taught. All he could feel was tears rolling down his cheeks. His faith was dwindling. He could feel his words echoing within himself as painful thorns. He got up wiped his tears and moved on..
Another week of testing times he went through and....the reply came!
"And never despair of His Mercy" a voice echoed in his dreams. He clinged to that voice. He saw a ray of hope..an answer to his sufferings..A Glad tiding!
The next day he woke up all fresh. He knew where to look for his answers. He learnt faith was not time bound. Everything was so clear now. He understood how a wailing future beholds a lifeless "present", in every sense of word. He woke up to all the daily struggle, but more full of life, more energetic. He had a moral to take home that,
Unfinished dreams add more to the purpose of life..!
